| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | The global financial crisis has led to an inevitable focus of attention on the process of global macroeconomic and financial supervision. The Stress Testing are conducted by national supervisors -in Spain’s case, the Bank of Spain- and up also carried out by the European Banking Authority (EBA). These initiatives amount to mere simulations on paper about the capacity of banks and savings banks to deal with a generalised slump in the economy and to some of its consequences, such as increased unemployment, credit default and devaluation of their investments. The authors implement an economic, financial and statistical analysis of the results of these critical scenarios: reduced turnover, the occurrence of losses, particularly in the credit portfolio, which impact significantly through the fall in the value of assets. | es_ES |
