McLaglen realizó una serie de westerns que son un interesante caso de estudio para entender la evolución de este género cinematográfico durante los años 1960 y 1970. El propósito de este trabajo es tratar de contextualizar los westerns de Andrew V. McLaglen en el contexto de la producción cinematográfica estadounidense de dicha época y analizar cómo, en sus planteamientos estéticos y formales, estas películas reflejan un período de profunda transformación en el cine de Hollywood

McLaglen directed a series of westerns that are an interesting case study for understanding the evolution of this film genre during the 1960s and 1970s The purpose of this paper is to understand the westerns of Andrew V. McLaglen in the context of the Hollywood film production of this period and to better understand how, in their aesthetic and formal options, they reflect the changes that occurred in this important Hollywood film genre.
