Le relazioni tra la Sardegna e la Penisola Iberica nei primi secoli del I millennio a.C.: le testimonianze nuragiche nella Penisola Iberica

Abstract

La recente scoperta di un cospicuo numero di ceramiche sarde nuragiche nel centro storico di Huelva ha posto le basi per lo studio delle testimonianze sarde della prima metà del I millennio a.C. presenti nella Penisola Iberica. L’indagine sui materiali sardi già pubblicati, su altri inediti e altri di dubbia interpretazione, ha evidenziato l’esistenza di più di 70 ceramiche e di 5 manufatti bronzei ricollegabili alla Sardegna nuragica. La non indifferente quantità di materiali sardi analizzati pone diversi quesiti sulla loro provenienza, modalità di arrivo e significato, dimostrando l’esistenza di contatti e relazioni tra la Sardegna e la Penisola Iberica nei primi secoli del I millennio a.C. in continuità con rapporti ben più antichi.

The recent discovery of a considerable amount of Sardinian nuragic pottery in the historical centre of Huelva creates the starting point for the study of the Sardinian presence in the Iberian peninsula and of the relationship between the two geographical areas in the first half of the Ist millennium B.C. The examination of the Sardinian material (some already published, some unpublished, and some of dubious interpretation) shows the existence of more than 70 pottery fragments and 5 bronze finds relating to the Sardinian Nuragic culture. The not inconsiderable number of Sardinian archaeological finds analyzed here raises many questions about their provenience, means of arrival and significance, and demonstrates the continuity of more ancient contacts and relationships between Sardinia and the Iberian Peninsula in the first centuries of the Ist millennium B.C.
