Isoflavonas estrogénicas en especies espontáneas del género Trifolium

Abstract

The level of oestrogenic isoflavones (biochanin A, formononetin, genistein and pratensein) are determined on twenty species of the Trifolium genus. These samples have been taken from the natural pasture growing in the northern part of the province of Cordova. Isoflavones levels are generally low, only in the case of T. bocconei, T. lappaceum and T. scabrum the averages reached are higher than in T. subterraneum. Nevertheless maximum levels are thrown in spring at flowering time when they came levelled with T. subterraneum without meaning any danger unless the pasture is overriden by the latter.

Se determinan los niveles de isoflavones estrogenicas (biochanina A, formononetina, genisteina y pratenseina) en veinte especies del genera Trifolium en pastos naturales del norte de la provincia de Córdoba. Los niveles de isoflavonas son en general bajos, solamente T.bocconei, T. lappaceum y T. scabrum tienen valores medios mas altos que los de T. subterraneum; sin embargo, los valores máximos que se alcanzan en primavera, al principio de la floraci6n, corresponden a T. subterraneum, pero no representan ningún peligro a menos que "Echo tr6bol se haga dominante en el pasta.
