| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | During the Modern Age many Jewish-Convert families managed to insert themselves in the ranks of the nobility, despite their jew origin, in many cities of our geography. The Muñoz de Velasco family from Córdoba, until now largely unknown, perfectly exemplifies the process of concealment of its hebrew blodd and the economic and social rise from the 16th century to the end of the Old Regime. Also, this family left interesting heritage traces for different generations. that allow us to verify their growing status. With this contribution we intend to demonstrate the need for a systematic and global tracking of documentation and the crossing of sources to bring to light all the Jewish descent of many families of the aristocracy of Cordoba, as well as provide knowledge about the rich and interesting heritage that they have left inside a city that is a World Heritage Site and whose cultural value is key to understanding their past. | es_ES |
