Partiendo del psicoanálisis y de la filosofía, este trabajo retoma la oposición entre piedad mercenaria y amor puro para abrir otros cauces a la lectura de Fénelon. En pleno auge de la ciencia, cuyo fin, así como el del “yo”, se encarga de anunciar, su obra surge como espacio de vacío y muerte, de desprendimiento y pérdida.

Working from psychoanalysis and philosophy, this article takes up the opposition between mercenary and pure love in order to open up new paths to the reading of Fénelon. At a time when science was at its peak, his works announced its end, as well as that of the ego, and emerged as a space of emptiness and death, of detachment and loss.
