Los verbos auxiliares en español: rasgos funcionales y criterios de gradación

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es proporcionar una definición nueva sobre el concepto de auxiliaridad, teniendo en cuenta el carácter gradual de esta categoría. Para ello, se lleva cabo el análisis pormenorizado de cuestiones como el fenómeno de la gramaticalización, la estructura argumental y las propuestas concretas sobre la auxiliaridad. A continuación, se establece nuestra propuesta definitoria: se describen los rasgos distintivos de los verbos objeto de estudio y se caracteriza cada forma auxiliar en términos de gradación. Esta investigación nos permite, por un lado, esclarecer aún más la naturaleza sintáctico-semántica de los verbos analizados y, por otro, arrojar luz sobre una categoría en la que ha sido habitual la inclusión de miembros muy diversos. De acuerdo con el marco metodológico, es necesario subrayar que la muestra de verbos auxiliares y los ejemplos propuestos se han recopilado del CORPES XXI.

The aim of this paper is to provide a new definition of the concept of auxiliarity, taking into account the gradual nature of this category. To this end, a detailed analysis of issues such as the phenomenon of grammaticalisation, argument structure and specific proposals on auxiliarity is carried out. Our definitional proposal is then established: the distinctive features of the verbs under study are described and each auxiliary form is characterised in terms of gradation. This research allows us, on the one hand, to further clarify the syntactic-semantic nature of the analysed verbs and, on the other hand, to shed light on a category in which the inclusion of very diverse members has been common. In accordance with the methodological framework, it is necessary to underline that the sample of auxiliary verbs and the proposed examples have been compiled from CORPES XXI.
