Politesse, impolitesse, auto-politesse: Janus revisité

Abstract

El análisis de las interacciones ha puesto de manifiesto que uno de los objetivos fundamentales de la comunicación es el de establecer vínculos interpersonales. Este objetivo concede la máxima importancia al respeto del Principio de Cortesía, respecto al cual la «auto-cortesía» y la descortesía parecen conductas impropias. Sin embargo, un breve análisis de estos comportamientos demuestra que no podemos reducir las reacciones humanas a meras dicotomías.

The interactional analysis has highlighted that one of the main targets of the communication is the one to establish personal relationships. This goal is primarily subjected to the respect of Politeness Principle, in regard of which «self-politeness» and impoliteness appear to be inappropriate. Nevertheless, a brief analysis of these behaviors shows that we cannot reduce the human reactions to mere dichotomies.
