La inteligencia emocional en el contexto educativo de adolescentes cordobeses

Abstract

Desde la aparición en 1990 del término inteligencia emocional (IE) por Salovey y Mayer y popularizado en 1995 por Goleman, muchos trabajos de investigación se han llevado a cabo por multitud de investigadores en torno a este concepto. En educación han sido muy importantes las aportaciones que desde la neuroeducación y la labor de investigadores como Berrocal y Bizquerra han realizado, adaptando instrumentos de medida para su valoración. En este trabajo que aquí se presenta hacemos un acercamiento al nivel de IE del alumnado de secundaria de la provincia de Córdoba, comprobando si la influencia del contexto social y cultural de la zona donde están ubicados los IES, influye de manera significativa en dichos escolares, así como si dicha influencia es reveladora para marcar diferencias entre centros rurales vs centros de la capital. Al mismo tiempo establecemos diferencias entre sexos para comprobar si dicha variable indica también cambios importantes.

Since the emergence in 1990 of the term emotional intelligence (IE) by Salovey and Mayer and popularized in 1995 by Goleman, many research work has been carried out by many researchers around this concept. In education have been very important contributions from the neuroeducation and the work of researchers such as Berrocal and Bizquerra have done, adapting measurement instruments for their assessment. In this paper we present an approximation to the IE level of high school students in the province of Córdoba, verifying if the influence of the social and cultural context of the area where HEIs are located, has a significant influence on these students, As well as if this influence is revealing to mark differences between rural centers vs centers of the capital. At the same time, we establish differences between the sexes to verify if this variable also indicates important changes.
