La flora hispana en Estrabón, Plinio el Viejo y otros autores clásicos: recursos vegetales silvestres

Abstract

Se ofrece un estudio sobre la flora silvestre hispana a través de varios autores clásicos como Estrabón, Plinio el Viejo, Apicio, Columela, Dioscórides, Hipócrates y Teofrasto. Con la visión particular de cada autor se podrían conocer las propiedades especiales, características, utilidades, etc., de esos recursos vegetales silvestres. Por lo tanto, obtendremos alusiones e información importante de dicha flora hispana, nunca considerada por la bibliografía, así como los productos y oficios que pudieron derivar de ella.

A study on Hispanic wild flora is offered through several classic authors such as Strabo, Pliny the Elder, Apicius, Columella, Dioscorides, Hippocrates and Theophrastus. With the visión of each author, could be known the special properties, characteristics, utilities, etc., of these wild plant resources. Therefore, we will obtain allusions and information of this Hispanic flora, never considered by the bibliography, as well as the products and trades that could derive from it (traducción propia).
