Abstract

Este artículo pretende aproximar al hombre de hoy a la moda, concretamente, del medievo. Y lo hacemos a través de un artículo: el guante. Accesorio que toda persona, hombre y mujer, que se preciara de elegante lo tenía entre las piezas de su indumentaria. De él analizaremos aspectos diversos, tales como, sus nombres, sus usuarios, la realidad castellana bajomedieval y. especialmente, las tipologías –guantes perfumados–. En el gran capítulo de los guantes perfumados, veremos a varios de los recetarios castellanos que tiempo atrás localizamos, descubriremos las recetas que sobre el adobo de guantes recogen, ingredientes y técnicas, y, por último, comentaremos, algunas de dichas fórmulas

This article aims to bring the man of today closer to fashion, specifically, of the Middle Ages. And we do it through an article: the glove. Accessory that every person, man and woman, who prided himself on being elegant had it among the pieces of their clothing. We will analyze various aspects of it, such as their names, their users, the late medieval Castilian reality and. especially, the typologies –perfumed gloves–. In the great chapter on scented gloves, we will see several of the Castilian recipes that we found some time ago, we will discover the récipes that they collect about the marinade of gloves, ingredients and techniques, and, finally, we will comment on some of these formulas
