Abstract

En este artículo ofrecemos nueva información sobre el posible étimo del término kanīsiy(y)ah, del que en su momento se ocuparon insignes investigadores, esencialmente el profesor F. Corriente, con el objeto de plantear una posible mediación de cristianos arabizados de origen sirio en la transmisión del término a al Ándalus.

Our aim in this article is to add new information about the posible etymon of the term kanīsiy(y)ah, which has received the atent ion of conspicuous researchers, essentially Professor F. Corriente, in order to propose a possible mediation of Arabized Christians of Syrian origin living in Sicily in the transmission of the term to al Andalus.
