Higino: balance crítico sobre un mitógrafo traducido, desaparecido y reencontrado

Abstract

El artículo intenta ser un balance o juicio crítico no sólo de un reciente comentario de Giulio Guidorizzi (Adelphi Edizioni, Milano 2000), sino también del propio Higino en cuanto mitógrafo. Se presentan los puntos más sobresalientes del comentario, como también los más débiles. Se subrayan las informaciones mitográficas propias o exclusivas del texto de Higino, que en ciertos casos no han sido advertidas por Guidorizzi, indicando la importancia y alcance de algunas de ellas. También se exponen sus "errores", algunos de los cuales tampoco han sido anotados en el comentario.

My purpose in this article is to put forward a critical judgement both on Giulio Guidorizzi's (Adelphi Edizioni, Milano 2000) recent commentary and on Hyginus himself as a mythographer. Here the most outstanding points of the commentary are shown, as well as the weakest. I highlight (he mythographical information exclusively appearing in Hyginus' text, especially those points that seemed to have passed unnoticed by Guidorizzi, while I also point to the relevance and effects reached by sorne of them. Lastly underline his "errors", some of which have not been annotated in the commentary.
