Mme du Chátelet y su traducción al francés de los Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Matheinatica de Newton

Abstract

Trabajo que versa sobre la figura y la obra de una de las primeras mujeres científicas de Europa, Mme du Chátelet, en el doscientos aniversario de su nacimiento, con especial incidencia en su relación con Voltaire y en su traducción, del latín al francés, de la famosa obra de Isaac Newton Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica.

This paper focuses on the author and work of one of the first scientific women of Europe, Mme du Chátelet, to celebrate the 200 birth anniversary, while laying the emphasis both on her relationship with Voltaire and her translation from Latin to French of the famous work Philosophiae Naluralis Principia Mathematica by Isaac Newton.
