Las fuentes del libro IV de Las Nupcias de Mercurio y Filología: lecturas paralelas

Abstract

This communication hopes to be a first review about greek and latin ancient sources of book IV of Martianus Capella’s De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii, with regard to dialectic. In this analysis, a comparative study will be introduced about sources or possible sources for the composition of this book. Similar passages in content and/or style to Martianus’ book also will be showed, others that remember fragments considered classic in that time and others later that show his influence and fortune. Despite general approach of this communication, we think that it is the starting point to subsequent more specific studies.
