Análisis y traducción del género policiaco y de su terminología jurídica a través de la novela "Un parfum de poison"

Abstract

El presente trabajo consiste en la observación del comportamiento de los términos jurídicos en el género policiaco concretamente, a través de la traducción al español dela novela Un parfum de poison.Para ello, por un lado se analiza y se justifica la traducción de dichos términos al no encontrarse en un contexto estrictamente jurídico, por otro se expone la historia del género policiaco francés, español e hispanoamericano para conocer el funcionamiento de este género al ser relativamente nuevo. Asimismo, se enuncia cuál puede ser la mejor técnica de traducción de este género. Por último, dado el argumento de la obra, se exponen no solo los sistemas jurídicos de la cultura original y la cultura meta, sino también el anglosajón ya que este pertenece a un ordenamiento jurídico diferente al de dichas culturas.

The present study aims at analysing the use of legal terms in the crime genre, through the Spanish translation of the novel Un parfum de poisonby Amy Alex. Firstly, we comment on the translation of the above-mentioned terms since many of them are still little or not used in a strictly legal context. Secondly, we review the history of the crime novel in France, Spain, and Latin America to better understand the features of this relatively new genre. Lastly, we outline the most appropriate translation technique considering the characteristics of the text. Within the scope of the book's arguments, we discuss not only the legal systems of the source and target cultures, but also the Anglo-Saxon system, since the latter differs from the former two in several respects.
