O carácter fundacional dos principíos na figura a da ars generalis ultima de Raimundo Lúlio

Abstract

Lúlio descreve a realidade como uma estrutura reticuladamente estratificada. Para tanto, ele se vale da noção metafísica de fundação e a ela confere duas funções absolutamente básicas. Em primeiro lugar, cabe à fundação assegurar a distinção entre os princípios enumerados na figura A da Ars generalis ultima, seus correlativos e Deus, que, apesar de serem necessariamente coextensionais, não se confundem hiperintensionamente por não compartilharem a mesma fundação. Paralelamente, compete à fundação assegurar que os constituintes da realidade possam se arranjar hierarquicamente segundo a variação dos seus graus de semelhança, encadeando-se fundacionalmente conforme a intensidade com a qual os princípios neles se contraem. De fato, a responsável direta por tal organização hierárquica da realidade é justamente essa capacidade de contração que os princípios têm de assumir uma condição contraída nas coisas que os manifestam e que a eles confere o seu caráter fundacional.

Llull describes reality as a reticulately stratified structure. To achieve this, he uses the metaphysical notion of grounding and ascribes two basic functions to it. Firstly, the grounding must ensure a distinction between the principles listed in figure A of the Ars generalis ultima, their correlatives and God. Although they are necessarily coextensive, none of them is hyperintensionally indiscernible from the others, because they do not share the same grounding. At the same time, grounding must also ensure that reality's constituents can be arranged hierarchically according to their varying degrees of similarity, and ordered foundationally according to the intensity with which the principles contract in them. In fact, the direct responsible for such a hierarchical ordering of reality is precisely the contraction capacity that principles have to assume a contracted condition in the things that manifest them, and which gives them their grounding character.
