Humanidades Digitales aplicadas a la Historia del Arte: El grafo como herramienta de visualización de los mosaicos romanos tardoantiguos

Abstract

Los mosaicos romanos tardoantiguos conforman un rico patrimonio cultural peninsular. En esta investigación nos referiremos a Gephi, una herramienta estadística y para la visualización de datos con grafos que, junto al marco teórico metodológico de las Humanidades Digitales, ha permitido aproximarse a la musivaria romana desde una perspectiva novedosa. Y además obtener conclusiones de diverso tipo gracias a la red resultante y a la relación establecida entre los distintos nodos que representan los mosaicos romanos los cuales conforman la base de datos creada previamente.

The late-antique Roman mosaics make up a rich peninsular cultural heritage. In this research we will refer to Gephi, a statistical tool and for the visualization of data with graphs that, together with the methodological theoretical framework of the Digital Humanities, has allowed us to approach the Roman musivaria from a novel perspective. And also obtain conclusions of various kinds thanks to the resulting network and the relationship established between the different nodes that represent the Roman mosaics which make up the previously created database.
