El escultor Jacinto Pimentel (h. 1600-1676): Nuevos datos para su biografía

Abstract

El propósito del presente artículo es enriquecer la biografía del escultor Jacinto Pimentel con nuevos datos genealógicos. Aunque casó en tres ocasiones, tan solo tuvo descendencia con la primera de sus esposas, desarrollándose una prolija descendencia por medio de sus tres hijas: Damasia, María y Teresa. En segundo lugar, se da a conocer el testamento de su tercera mujer, María Guerrero, cuyos datos reflejados en el mismo son de gran interés para comprender la última etapa vital del imaginero.

The purpose of this article is to enrich the biography of the sculptor Jacinto Pimentel with new genealogical data. Although he married three times, he only had children with the first of his wives, developing a prolific lineage through his three daughters: Damasia, María and Teresa. Secondly, the will of his third wife, María Guerrero, is made known, whose data reflected in it are of great interest to understand the last vital stage of the image maker.
