This work proposes an event-based PI control scheme focused on FOPTD (First Order Plus Time Delay) processes with simple tuning methods. The scheme, called for
short predictive SSOD-PI or PSSOD (Predictive Symmetric Send On Delta)-PI, which only considers two degree of freedom to determine the expected rate of events as well as the set-point and load disturbance rejection responses. The event-based system is characterized by defining its architecture, a stability analysis, and by providing simple ad-hoc tuning rules. Simulation results prove the effectiveness of the approach.

Hierarchical fuzzy controllers for explicit MPC control laws: adaptive cruise control example
Gersnoviez, Andrés; Brox-Jiménez, María; Baturone, Iluminada (IEEE, 2020)This paper presents a methodology to approximate explicit Model Predictive Control (MPC) laws by hierarchical fuzzy systems, particularly piecewise-affine hierarchical (PWAH) systems. These hierarchical controllers provide ... -
