Hacia el centralismo borbónico. El establecimiento del Consejo de Despacho en la España de Felipe V

Abstract

La sucesión de Felipe V a la Corona española trajo consigo el inicio de una serie de reformas en la administración central. La primera de ellas, y sin duda la más importante en los primeros momentos de su reinado, fue el establecimiento de un Consejo de Despacho. A través de él fue posible agilizar las tareas de gobierno soslayando el anquilosado sistema polisinodial; sin embargo, éste no estuvo exento de graves problemas internos y de propuestas de reforma. Por otro lado, dicho organismo también permitió a Luis XIV tutelar la política española entre 1701 y 1709.

The succession of Philip V to the Spanish Wreath brought with it the beginning of a series of reforms in the central administration. The first one of them, and undoubtedly the most important in the first moments of his reign, was the establishment of a Council of Office. Across him it was possible to improve the tasks of government ignoring the paralyzed system polisinodial; nevertheless, this one was not exempt from serious internal problems and from offers of reform. On the other hand, the above mentioned organism also allowed the Spanish politics to tutelary Luis XIV between 1701 and 1709.
