Hidráulica nazarí. La acequia real de la Alhambra

Abstract

El origen de este trabajo está en la ponencia que el arquitecto Pablo Pardal Redondo y yo mismo preparamos, para ser presentada a un conjunto de Profesores, en el ámbito de las "X Jornadas de Latín, Griego y Cultura Clásica" del CEP de Córdoba, en abril de 2007. Con posterioridad a ello, decidí continuar la investigación, dado el interés que siempre he tenido por este tema y las demandas que otras personas me han manifestado. Pretendíamos hacer hablar a los viejos y emblemáticos espacios de la dinastía nazarí sobre cómo habían conseguido resolver el problema del abastecimiento de agua. Esta es un elemento esencial en la configuración estética pero, antes de eso y con mucha mayor importancia, estaba el problema vital de cubrir las necesidades que una población creciente planteaba a la ciudad palatina de la Alhambra.

The origin of this work is in the presentation that the architect Pablo Pardal Redondo and I itself prepare, to be presented to a set of teachers, in the area of the "X Jornadas of Latin, Greek and Classic Culture", of the CEP of Cordova, in April, 2007. With posteriority to it, I decided to continue the investigation, in view of the interest that always l have taken as this topic and the demands that other people have demonstrated to me. We were trying to make speak to the old and emblematic spaces of the dynasty nazarí on how they had managed to solve the problem of the water supply. This one is an essential element in the aesthetic configuration but, before it and with a lot of major importance, there was the vital problem of covering the needs that an increasing population was raising to the court city of the Alhambra.
