Büchners Kunstanschauung und anthropologische Menschenaufassung

Abstract

Das Kunstgespräch in Georg Büchners Novelle "Lenz" wird zu einem Schlüsseldialog, in dem Büchner seiner eigenen Kunstanschauung und Ästhetik Ausdruck verleihen kann. Von diesem Gespräch leitet sich seine anthropologische Menschenauffassung ab, in der das Mitleid eine zentrale Rolle spielt. Illustriert wird diese durch die Bildanalyse, des in der Novelle genannten Bildmaterials "Christus in Emmaus", die nicht nur Büchners Kunstanschauung verifiziert, sondern auch seine anthropologische Menschenauffassung darstellt. Durch den Einbezug der naturalistischen und expressionistischen Elemente des Hässlichen und Geringsten, die den klassischen Elementen entgegengesetzt sind, drückt Büchner sein humanes Engagement aus.

The art conversation in the novel »Lenz« from Georg Büchner is a key-conversation, where Büchner expres-ses his own reception of art and ethic. From this conversation it is possible to deduct his anthropologic con-cept of humanity, where pity plays a central role. The analysis of the painting »Jesus Christ in Emaus«,which Büchner mentions in the narrative, illustrates Büchner’s concept of art but also presents his anthro-pologic conception. With the inclusion of naturalistic and expressionistic elements like the ugly and theminor, which are contrary to the classic elements, Büchner expresses his human engagement.
