La interfaz sintaxis-prosodia al servicio de la intensificación

Abstract

De entre los procedimientos que registra la intensificación lingüística (fónicos, gramaticales y léxicos), este trabajo trata de los mecanismos gramaticales, concretamente de los cuantificadores tal(es), tan(to/a)(s), que funcionan en estructuras ponderativas con o sin cláusula consecutiva o comparativa. El objetivo principal es describir la solidaridad entre la sintaxis y la prosodia en este tipo de construcciones, que tienen un papel importante en los textos persuasivos. El corpus que analizaremos está conformado por discursos en los que la dimensión argumentativa es preponderante. Se trata de tres diarios de sesiones del Congreso de los Diputados de España, de la XIV legislatura, celebrados los días 13 y 20 de octubre y 10 de noviembre de 2021, que suman 12,5 horas de grabación.

Among the tools that serve to the linguistic intensification (phonic, grammatical, and lexical), this article tackles the issue of syntactic mechanisms, specifically the quantifiers tal(es), tan(to/a) (s), which function in intensifying structures with or without a consecutive or comparative clause. The main purpose of this work is to describe the solidarity between syntax and prosody in this kind of constructions, which have a significant role in persuasive texts. The corpus to be analysed consists of speeches in which the argumentative dimension is predominant. We will examine three sessions’ records of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, a total amount of 12,5 hours, within the XIV legislature, held on October 13th and 20th and November 10th, 2021.
