Trombosis y agenesias de los ramos espinales de las arterias vertebrales y claudicación intermitente del ganado vacuno de lidia

Abstract

We have carried out macro and microscopical studies of the spinal rami of the a. vertebralis in seven backbones of fight heifers from the Pablo Romero Livestock, wich collapsed 2 or3 times during the filth-t. We wished to verify if the intermittent collapse is correlated with a medular ischemia, and if this is due to a thrombosis of the mentioned arteries. In the study carried out only a thrombus was found (table I), but we also found agennesis of the spinal arteries in 41 of the 98 dissected vessels. To verify if this agennesis was the cause for the intermittent collapse, we examined two hfifers wich did no collapse during the fight, and we found the same extent of agennesis of spinal rami in these test animals. Therefore we can deduce that the agennesis is not a sufficient factor for the intermittent trouble and that thrombosis is a rather rare condition.

Hemos realizado un estudio macro y microscópico de los ramos espi¬nales de las arterias vertebrales pertenecientes a siete raquis de otras tantas becerras de la ganadería de Pablo Romero, las cuales se habían caldo durante la tienta, para comprobar si la claudicación intermitente del ganado vacuno de lidia corresponde a una isquemia medular, y si ésta se debe a la presencia de procesos trombóticos en dichas arterias. En las disecciones realizadas hallamos sólo un trombo organizado; en cambio comprobamos la ausencia de ramos espinales de la a. vertebrales en 41 de los 98 agujeros de conjunción disecados. Para comprobar si esta agenesia era determinante de la claudicación intermitente estudiamos dos testigos no caldos y encontramos que endichos testigos también exis¬tía el mismo grado de agenesia arterial Así, pues, deducimos que dichas agenesia§ no son factores suficientes de la claudicación intermitente y que la presencia de trombos en dichas arterias es rara.
