Los valores de los tiempos verbales simples de indicativo con relación a la variación diafásica y diamésica: análisis en gramáticas y manuales de ELE

Abstract

En este trabajo estudiamos la variación diafásica y diamésica que manifiestan los tiempos verbales simples de indicativo, para lo cual analizamos un corpus constituido por 55 obras destinadas a la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera, en particular, 30 gramáticas y 25 manuales. Partimos de la hipótesis de que la variación se manifestará en los valores no prototípicos de los tiempos verbales, es decir, en los considerados marcados. Así pues, tras recordar la necesidad de enseñar la competencia comunicativa en ELE y, con ello, la variación lingüística, analizamos los valores que manifiestan variación diafásica y/o diamésica, a saber: 1) la expresión de la futuridad con el presente y con la perífrasis <ir a + infinitivo>; 2) el uso de cantaría y cantaba en apódosis condicionales; 3) la alternancia entre formas verbales de indicativo; y 4) otros valores, entre ellos el futuro del pasado o el valor narrativo, ambos expresados por cantaba.

In this work we analyze the diaphasic and diamesic variation that the simple indicative verb tenses manifest, for which we analyze a corpus consisting of 55 works aimed at teaching Spanish as a foreign language, in particular, 30 grammars and 25 manuals. We start from the hypothesis that the variation will be manifested in the non-prototypical values of the verb tenses, that is, in those considered marked. Thus, after recalling the need to teach communicative competence in ELE and, with it, linguistic variation, we analyze the values that manifest diaphasic and/or diamestic variation, namely: 1) the expression of futurity with the present and with the periphrasis <ir a + infinitive>; 2) the use of cantaría and cantaba in conditional apodosis; 3) the alternation between indicative verb forms; and 4) other values, including the future of the past or the narrative value, both expressed by cantaba.
