This paper deals with the urban development of the Islamic Córdoba: from the 8th century to the Christian conquest in 1236. This work is possible thanks to hundreds of archaeological excavations carried out over the last thirty years, from which an important bibliographic production has emanated. Through these data, today it is possible to propose a diachronic perspective, reflecting on certain issues of interest in the evolution of the ancient capital of al-Andalus, one of the largest cities of the Medieval Islamic World.es_ES
