Estudio sobre las actividades de patrimonio cultural en el entorno rural de la Val Pellice (Turín, Italia)

Abstract

La educación patrimonial es una herramienta esencial para preservar las zonas rurales. Generalmente, se ha resaltado la función del docente para proporcionar una educación patrimonial transformadora en su alumnado y se ha dejado en un segundo plano el papel de las familias. Este trabajo analiza la importancia que le dan las familias del entorno rural a la formación de sus hijos en educación patrimonial. Para ello, se elaboró un cuestionario estructurado dirigido a los progenitores (35 mujeres y 11 hombres) de Val Pellice (Turín, Italia). Los resultados muestran que las actividades culturales organizadas son de carácter generalista, lúdico y no destinadas a grupos infantojuveniles; las familias manifestaron dificultades para acceder a estas por falta de conciliación familiar y de servicios. Se puede concluir que pese a la importancia que le dan las familias a la educación patrimonial existen una serie de obstáculos en los entornos rurales que dificultan su acceso.

Heritage education is an essential tool to preserve rural areas. Generally, the role of the teacher has been associated to providea transformative heritage education among the students, not giving importance to the role of families. This study analyzes the importance that rural families give to heritage education. For this, a structured questionnaire was developed for the parents (35 women and 11 men) of Val Pellice (Turin, Italy). The results show that the cultural activities are recreational, general nature and are not focus on children-youth groups; these families have difficulties to accessing them due to lack of family conciliation and services. It can be concluded that despite the importance that families give to heritage education, there are a series of obstacles in rural environments that hinder their access.
