Las cortes de Castilla y León en el siglo XV: organización y protocolo

Abstract

Este trabajo estudia las Cortes del reino de Castilla y León, desde el punto de vista organizativo y protocolario, teniendo en cuenta el fundamento legal de esta disciplina. Tras situar la institución de las Cortes en el contexto histórico del siglo XV, se realiza un estudio detallado de diversos aspectos: la convocatoria a Cortes, su contenido y destinatarios, centrándonos en la figura de los procuradores o representantes del tercer estado: su elección, poderes y privilegios. También se aborda el ceremonial, el desarrollo de las sesiones de Cortes y el procedimiento de adopción de acuerdos. Por último, se hace referencia a diversos conflictos de protocolo, en el sentido popular del término, y la solución que en su día se aplicó.

This work studies the Courts of the kingdom of Catile and Leon, from the point of view of organization and protocol, considering the legal basis for this discipline. After placing the Courts in the historical context of the 15th century, a detailed study of several aspects is carried out: the call to Courts, its content and the recipients of the call, focusing on the figure of procuratorsor representatives of the third state: their election, authority, payment and privileges. The ceremonial is also addressed, as well as the development of the court sessions and the procedure for adopting resolutions. Finally, reference is made to several conflicts of protocol, in the popular sense of the term, and the solution that was applied at that time.
