La evolución del patrimonio artístico de la Cofradía de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fernán Núñez a través de sus inventarios

Abstract

La cofradía de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fernán Núñez, fundada a finales del siglo XVI en la iglesia parroquial de Santa Marina de Aguas Santas, desempeñó un papel destacado en la promoción de las artes durante la Edad Moderna, encargando retablos, ornamentos litúrgicos y para sus imágenes devocionales, contribuyendo significativamente al legado patrimonial del templo mayor. Los inventarios de sus bienes, conservados desde finales del siglo XVII, resultan fundamentales para reconstruir su historia, evidenciando la riqueza ornamental que la cofradía fue adquiriendo a lo largo del tiempo.

The Confraternity of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fernán Núñez, established in the late 16th century in the church of Santa Marina de Aguas Santas, was involved in promoting artistic patronage during the Early Modern period. It commissioned altarpieces, liturgical ornaments and for devotional figures, which significantly enriched the artistic heritage of the main church. The inventories of its possessions, preserved from the late 17th century, are essential for reconstructing its historical development, as they document the liturgical and ornamental wealth accumulated by the confraternity over time.
