¿Le interesa Esparta a la extrema derecha española? Reflexión sobre símbolos e internacionalización

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar si Esparta, vista por el filtro de la película 300, ha sido utilizada en los mismos términos en España que en la mayoría de países europeos occidentales y en América por parte de grupos de extrema derecha o de derecha radical. Se trata de analizar las finalidades del uso de este referente cultural en el ámbito occidental y ver si Vox y las agrupaciones ultraderechistas españolas también recurren a los mismos elementos o si tienden a usar otros, así como las razones por las que los eligen.

The aim of this paper is to examine whether Sparta, as portrayed through the lens of the film 300, has been employed in Spain in the same terms as in most Western Euro-pean countries and in the Americas by far-right or radical right groups. The purpose is to analyze the intended functions of this cultural reference within the Western con-text. Another objective is to assess whether Spanish far-right groups and the party Vox also resort to the same elements or whether they tend to adopt different ones, as well as the reasons behind their choices.
