This article considers the translation work of José María Blanco White and takes as its central subject Blanco White‟s translations of English poetry. Several fragments and poems translated by the poet are examined and the article analyses certain transformations produced during the process of translation from the English verse into Spanish. Several examples are studied, and their levels of linguistic execution compared. The work goes on to analyse more deeply the semantic components of these translations.
