Su finalidad es la de servir como centro neurálgico, cuyos conocimientos derivados de las actividades programadas puedan ser aplicados tanto a futuros desarrollos académicos y de investigación, como al diseño de políticas de cooperación. En este trabajo hacemos un resumen de la trayectoria del mismo, demostrando la consecución de sus objetivos The Permanent Seminar of India Studies (SPEI) was created in 2006 with the support of and in conjunction with the English Department at the University of Cordoba (UCO). The Seminar was founded in order to open an appropriate space for Indian and Indian Diaspora studies. It, moreover, functions to promote either an academic and research study and also to foment international cooperation policies and intercultural dialogue in Andalusia. The Permanent Seminar of India Studies offers a space for specialized, systematic and interdisciplinary studies about India. It links historical and socio-cultural knowledge with cooperation necessities. The Seminar is open to the university community, public institutions, members of associations, business people and any other person with interests in India. The goal of the Seminar is to function as a pivotal center, whose knowledge from the already programmed activities might be applied to future academic development, research as well as to design cooperation policies.
