<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es_ES" mdschema="dc">Se presenta una investigación orientada a identificar las dificultades encontradas en la resolución de los problemas matemáticos de cambio y combinación, más concretamente en detectar los errores cometidos en tal proceso. Así mismo se busca determinar si hay relación entre el sexo y los tipos de errores. El estudio es exploratorio y aplica una batería de problemas ya validados. Se halló que los alumnos cometen más errores en los problemas de cambio que en los de combinación. Y el error más frecuente es que expresan una operación de suma o resta y operan de manera contraria.</dim:field>
<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es_ES" mdschema="dc">We hereby present a piece of enquiry focused on the identification of the difficulties that pupils face regarding problems solving in situations that require change and combine, and, more precisely, on the detection of the errors made in such process. Samely, we aim to determine whether there is any relation between gender and type of error. This study is exploratory in nature and applies a set of already validated problems. Findings show that pupils make more error in Change problems tan in Combine problems. The most frequent error is that they turn to mathematical operations of either addition or subtraction, choosing the corresponding opposite operation.</dim:field>
