El color de la granada (Paradjanov, 1969) a través de análisis de la obra poética –en este caso la escrita en armenio– del trovador armenio Sayat Nova –sobre quien gira el filme– así como también del análisis de los motivos de diferentes textos místicos de referencia de las doctrinas místicas (cristianismo ortodoxo y sufis- mo) de la época y el entorno del poeta –que aparecen, en primer lugar, en el plano poético, y posteriormente en el plano cinematográfico. Los símbolos de la mística que se revisan enlazan con aspectos de la tradición etno- gráfica de la zona del Cáucaso sur (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaiyán), por lo que los códigos iconográficos del fol- clore y los mitos conviven en el medio cinematográfico con los del universo místico, donde el vino equivale al gozo del espíritu y al conocimiento. This article proposes to identify the mystical elements and motifs related to wine and its symbolism in the film Sayat Nova. The colour of pomegranates (Paradjanov, 1969) through the analysis of the poetic work –in this case written in Armenian– of the Armenian troubadour Sayat Nova, around whom the film revolves. We also pro- ceed to the analysis of the motifs of different mystical texts of reference from mystical doctrines (Orthodox Chris- tianity and Sufism) of the time and the poet's environment –which appear, firstly, on the poetic plane, and later, on the cinematographic plane.
