<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es_ES" mdschema="dc">The current work aims to contribute to the characterisation of the language used in the domain of adventure tourism. For so doing, it focuses on its phraseological component and explores the prepositional phrases collocating with a set of motion verbs extracted from a specialised corpus called ADVENCOR (cf. Durán-Muñoz & Jiménez-Navarro, 2021a). The methodology applied is corpus-driven and follows three main steps: (1) extraction of motion verbs, (2) extraction of prep-ositional phrase collocations, and (3) classification of the collocations selected according to the type of motion (i.e., real or fictive) described. The findings reveal that collocations showing real motion were more common than those depicting fictive motion. Albeit some verbs produced (even the same) collocations representing both types of events, prepositions were used to enhance the meaning implied by the verbs in real motion cases rather than in fictive ones. Besides, an analysis of the semantic roles expressed by the prepositions was undertaken, which demonstrated that arguments of the verbs were more common to appear in collocations expressing fictive mo-tion, whereas those related to real motion featured both arguments and circumstantials. Finally, the most recurrent preposition was the same in both cases, through, which introduces the PATH where the motion occurs.</dim:field>
