Abstract

En el artículo «Breve biografía poética de Julia Uceda», la autora recorre a grandes rasgos la biografía literaria de Julia Uceda, poeta que nace en Sevilla en 1925 y que actualmente reside en Galicia. La autora analiza los primeros pasos de la obra ucediana que tiene su punto de partida en 1959 con la publicación de Mariposa en cenizas, y que prosigue con Extraña juventud (1962) y Sin mucha esperanza (1966); su marcha, primero a Estados Unidos, y después a Irlanda, donde trabaja como docente universitaria y continúa su producción lírica con volúmenes como Poemas de Cherry Lane (1968) y Campanas en Sansueña (1977); y su vuelta a España donde publica En elogio de la locura (1980), Viejas voces secretas de la noche (1981), Del camino de humo (1994), En el viento hacia el mar (2002), Zona desconocida (2006), Luz sobre un friso (2008) y Hablando con un haya (2011).

The author describes Uceda’s first literary that started in 1959 with a publication of Butterfly in Ashes and continued with Strange Childhood (1962) and Without much hope (1966); her exile, first in United States and then in Ireland, where she taught and continued her literary creation with works like Poems of Cherry Lane (1968) and Bells of Sansueña (1977); her return to Spain where she has published In prise of folly (1980), Old secret voices of the night (1981), From the road of smoke (1994), In wind to sea (2002), Unknown zone (2006), The light in the baseboard (2008) and Talking to a beech (2011).
