El "Boletín Musical" (1928-1931) como patrimonio hemerográfico y testigo de la percepción de una época en Córdoba

Abstract

Córdoba se convirtió en el testigo del trabajo coordinado de un conjunto de voces que a través de la crítica cuestionaron, valoraron y juzgaron la realidad musical de una época donde la sociedad española presentó grandes avances. Todas ellas, tuvieron como marco común; el soporte hemerográfico en el que dieron forma a sus palabras: Boletín Musical. Esta revista fue publicada en Córdoba mensualmente entre 1928 y 1931, con una impresión de unas veinte páginas por número en casi todos los ejemplares que contienen gran riqueza y variedad temática, contando con la participación de los más ilustres músicos, pensadores y críticos de la sociedad nacional e incluso internacional. Boletín Musical fue liderada por Rafael Serrano Palma, director y profesor del conservatorio de Córdoba, ciudad que fue testigo del desarrollo de una revista que describió las realidades, la crítica, la polémica, la evolución y las inquietudes de la sociedad musical donde nació. El Boletín Musical de Córdoba, cuya fuente original ha sido descargada de la página web de la hemeroteca digital de la Biblioteca Nacional de España, fue una publicación inmersa en un contexto artístico y musical cargado de riqueza que dejó huella en el patrimonio español del siglo XX, fue así que se considera estas décadas como la edad de oro de la prensa musical. Momento en el que un grupo de artistas y escritores aunaron esfuerzos para perseguir metas comunes, de aquí que más tarde fueran calificados como Generación del 27. La investigación del Boletín Musical a través del presente trabajo pretende analizar las percepciones, opiniones y pensamientos hallados entre las palabras de los críticos musicales. Palabras que constituyen un testimonio reflejado en dicha publicación. Dentro de la extensa realidad que abarca la revista nos hemos focalizado en estudiar todos los artículos de opinión, para, a través de ellos y contrastándolos con un minucioso estudio del contexto sociológico, estético y musical, construir discursos históricos sobre la realidad de un momento peculiar en la vida artística española. El estudio de Boletín también dibuja la realidad de una época determinada: finales de los años veinte, además de proporcionar nuevos datos y aportaciones que corroboran la gran calidad de la fuente examinada. Los propósitos que justifican mi trabajo, se resumen en mi intención de clasificar y reconocer las diferentes críticas que han sido la base de la construcción del discurso histórico que otorga un sentido a sus reivindicaciones. Además de estudiar las diferentes figuras a través de su bibliografía y el análisis de su pensamiento a través de sus palabras, se ha aportado una reflexión sobre la importancia de los distintos géneros musicales en este periodo. A través de este trabajo se puede apreciar como la reivindicación del arte nacional hallado entre los diferentes números de la revista fue un símbolo que gracias a publicaciones como esta resucitó sobre sus cenizas.

Córdoba was witness of the coordinated work of a set of voices. These voices questioned, valued, judged the music reality of a time period through their criticism. In this time period the Spanishe society presented great advances. All of them were as a only framework: a hemerographic support where they shaped their words: The Musical Bulletin. This magazine was published monthly between 1928 and 1931 in Córdoba. It had about twenty pages by publication. All these numbers had great wealth and variety of themes because this music magazine had with the participation of famous musicians, thinkers, critics of the national and international society. Musical Bulletin was led by Rafael Serrano Palma. He was director and teacher of the conservatory in Córdoba. The music magizine of this city described realities, criticism, controversy, evolution and concerns of the musical society where it was born. The original source of the Musical Bulletin has been downloaded from the website of the digital archive of the National Library of Spain. It was developed in a great artistic and musical context. This publication left a legacy on the Spanish heritage of the 20th century. This time period was considered the golden age of the music press. At this time a group of artists and writers joined forces. They achieved common objectives and they were named as Generation of 27. This research Project pretend to analyze the perceptions, opinions and thoughts in the words of music critics. These words constitute a historical testimony of this publication. This study has focused on opinion articles and we have compared this content with the study of the aesthetic sociological and musical context. Finally, we have written historical speech about reality of an interesting moment in Spanish artistic life with all the scientific knowledge that we have studied. The Musical Bulletin describes the situation of late twenties. This research shows the high quality of the source studied. The purposes of this project focus on the classification of the different criticisms. With this work a historical discourse has been written. My words try to give meaning to the claims of the critics. This doctoral thesis studied different figures through his biographies and the analysis of his thought through their words. Also it provides a reflection on the importance of the different musical genres in this time period. This project is a sample of the claim of the national art found among the different issues of the magazine. This was a symbol that revived out of their ashes, due to magazines like this.
