Cubos y prismas triangulares para los niños y niñas de preescolar: un material didáctico de Friedrich Fröbel

Abstract

En 1840, el pedagogo alemán Friedrich Fröbel acuñó el término Kindergarten [= Jardín de Infancia] para los centros germanos de formación preescolar. En ellos el profesorado estaba constituido por mujeres y el juego era considerado como un proceso esencial de la educación inicial del niño. Para fomentar la capacidad creadora de los principiantes Fröbel diseñó un material escolar específico. En este artículo, nos ocuparemos de un juego de bloques cúbicos y prismáticos que, a nuestro entender, tiene un notable interés en la formación aritmético-geométrica de los más pequeños e incluso de los que no lo son.

In 1840, the German pedagogue Friedrich Fröbel coined the term Kindergarten for German pre-school training centers. In them the teaching staff was made up of women and the game was considered as an essential process of the initial education of the child. To encourage the creative capacity of beginners, Fröbel designed a specific school material. In this article, we will deal with a game of cubic and prismatic blocks that, in our opinion, has a notable interestin the arithmetic-geometric formation of the smallest and even of those that are not.
