The rise and expansion of the Internet, together with the communicative revolution that this entails, has generated a paradigm shift in the field of commercial communications, with Advertising being a field in which an absolute transformation has takenplace. Where before there were only texts, now there is a perfectly integrated communication device through which a structured message is transmitted through different media, be they textual, images, videos, etc. Web 2.0 pages are a palpable example of this fact and, therefore, of the communicative revolution that has been taking place for years. As far as translation is concerned, multimodal communication represents, on many occasions, a challenge for the translator. The task of harmonizing and rendering coherent a message with numerous elements, and belonging to different semiotic codes, is a complex one for which the translator needs solid training and a great ability to solve problems.
