La influencia del pensamiento judeo-cristiano en Michel de Montaigne, Giordano Bruno y Francisco Sánchez

Abstract

El pensamiento judío ha podido ejercer una gran influencia a lo largo de la historia en diversos autores. En el presente trabajo nos centramos en tres pensadores de finales del siglo XVI que presentan una serie de ideas provenientes de la tradición judía: Montaigne, Bruno y Sánchez. Son tres autores muy peculiares sin ninguna relación entre sí y que presentan cierto carácter heteróclito respecto a la línea principal de pensamiento de su época. El hecho de que tratemos de mostrar los elementos provenientes de la tradición hebrea en estos tres autores tan diversos responde a la necesidad de comprender que la influencia del pensamiento judío se produjo en distintas maneras y en autores muy diversos con inquietudes intelectuales muy variopintas.

The Jewish thought could exert a big influence throughout history in many different thinkers. In this paper, we will focus in three authors from the last years of the XVI century who had some ideas that come from the Jewish tradition: Montaigne, Bruno and Sanchez. These are three different and very particular thinkers without any relation between them and who presented a different line of thought regarding the main stream thought of their time. We are trying to show the elements of the Jewish tradition in these three authors in order to understand the influence of the Jewish thought and the way it appeared in different intellectuals with different philosophical preoccupations.
