The destruction of the Spanish bibliographic
heritage by the Franco side during the
Spanish Civil War and the first Régimen is discussed
in this article. The burning of books, the
debugging of the publishing market and bookseller
funds and the weeding of libraries became an
imperative for the military authorities. The target
was to eliminate every pernicious publication that
had poisoned the mind and soul of the spaniards.
