Clement of Alexandria’s interpretation about the figure of Abraham suggests a broad understanding of interculturality. A reading made by the alexandrine writer results innovative within early Christian circles as it retrieves the patriarch’s astrological nature. Supporting arguments for Abraham’s astrological practices come from at least three sources: Chaldean origin, Greco-Roman culture, encyclical knowledge appropriation, arithmetic knowledge. This interpretation consists in Clement’s ability to incorporate and engage dialogue with different traditions available in his time through an intercultural hybridism approach.
