ciudad ha representado a lo largo de la historia This paper describes and analyzes the recent experience of design, structuring and
implementation of the "Route of Córdoba of the Americas" in a historic center,
declared "World Heritage", of the city of Cordoba (Spain).
This route is intended as a pilot and demonstration experience cultural tourism route
designed following the principles and philosophy of responsible tourism, particularly
with regard to the social and cultural aspects linked to the rich historical heritage and
cultural relations between the city of Cordoba (Spain) and Latin America.
The route aims to become a tool for local development based on the valorization of
heritage, tangible and intangible, until now somewhat forgotten, at least with respect
to heritage legacy linked to Jewish, Muslim and Christian‐cultures but with enormous
potential to diversify and expand the cultural tourism offer of the city of Cordoba and
its demand for international tourists from American destinations while improving their average stay and visualize more fully intercultural relation and melting pot of cultures
that this city he has represented throughout history
