Las artes escénicas como factor de desarrollo turístico: el Festival de la Guitarra de Córdoba

Abstract

Los festivales se han convertido en celebraciones relevantes para todas las sociedades. Éstos son un elemento esencial de las comunidades locales para el desarrollo, no solo cultural, sino también social y económico. A su vez, los festivales son un importante factor de atracción turística, siendo un elemento más a considerar en la planificación y gestión de todo destino turístico. Todo ello suscita un interés de estudio, y en especial, de las características del público asistente. El objetivo de este manuscrito es el análisis de las características más relevantes de los espectadores que asisten a un evento musical como es el Festival de la Guitarra de Córdoba (España). Entre otros, los resultados permiten conocer las motivaciones por las cuales deciden acudir a este festival, siendo las razones más relevantes para visitarlo el hecho de escuchar en directo a los artista(s) y/o grupo(s) preferido(s) y también la búsqueda de nuevas vivencias musicales. Todo ello revela que sobresalen la motivación cultural frente a las motivaciones de tipo psicosocial. Entre otros hallazgos, hay que remarcar el hecho de que el festival sea un evento cultural de proximidad, lo que justifica la necesidad de una mayor promoción y difusión con la finalidad de mejorar su posicionamiento turístico a nivel nacional e internacional. De este modo, se podrá captar más turistas de zonas lejanas de la localidad, incluso internacionales.

Festivals have become relevant celebrations for all societies. These are an essential element of local communities for development, not only cultural, but also social and economic. In turn, festivals are an important factor of tourist attraction, being one more element to consider in the planning and management of any tourist destination. All of this raises an interest in study, and especially in the characteristics of the audience. The objective of this manuscript is the analysis of the most relevant characteristics of the spectators who attend a musical event such as the Córdoba Guitar Festival (Spain). Among others, the results allow knowing the motivations for which they decide to attend this festival, the most relevant reasons for visiting it being the fact of listening live to the artist (s) and / or preferred group (s) and also the search for new musical experiences. All this reveals that cultural motivation stands out over psychosocial motivations. Among other findings, it is necessary to highlight the fact that the festival is a local cultural event, which justifies the need for greater promotion and dissemination in order to improve its tourist positioning at a national and international level. In this way, it will be possible to attract more tourists from remote areas of the town.
