During the great climatic changes since the beginning of the Phanerozoic time the variations in temperatures didn’t follow the concentrations of CO2. In the Pleistocene interglacials the rates of CO2 and methane increase, though not always in a parallel form between them and neither with temperature. With the end of the Eemian interglacial temperatures lower before than CO2. During the Younger-Dryas the rates of CO2 raise and the rates of temperatures decreases. In the Holocene with low and practically constant levels of CO2 the Calid Period of Medium Holocene takes place, and more recently the Medieval Warming Period and a cold period known as the Little Ice Age. In the 20th century, even though the increases of atmospheric CO2, there was a cold period between 1940-1970. After the maximum temperature of 1998, temperatures didn’t continue to increase, although CO2 did. We have to highlight the secondary role of CO2 against the importance of the solar cycles in climatic changeses_ES
