| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Cultural studies emphasize on the importance of the audiovisual media in order to transmit socialization patterns. Cinema and fashion photography are part of that construct. The purpose of this thesis is to identify the dialogic correlation between both disciplines through the analysis of the representation of the fashion photographer figure in fiction films. From this general objective we consider analyzing on the one hand characterization features establishing as principal categories physical, psychological and social description of the characters. And on the other hand examining communication characteristics through visual study of the photographic act looking for stereotypes and dominant features which compared to those stablished by Casajús Quirós will make possible to extract a typology, which can be used as a summary, grouped by personal, professional or feature representation categories. The methodology used has been content analysis in a qualitative version. From an specific filmography based on 88 films, with priority to those where the feature of the fashion photographer has a more important acting role, we have been able to confirm, among other results, the appearence of the fashion photographer in cinema during the first decade of the twentieth century lasting until the present, its European and American origin, and, its location mainly within the comedy, drama, thriller or terror films Regarding the feature of the fashion photographer, we can conclude that this role is played on a much higher percentage by male than female characters, with western origins and his characterization and the photographic act matches with the photographers and tendencies described by Casajús Quirós through the various decades. | es_ES |
