La distinción nombre verbo en los comentarios al Perihermeneias de Alfarabi y Averroes

Abstract

Aristóteles en el Perihermeneias se ocupa de Ia enunciación como unidad mínima significativa que expresa Ia verdad lógica. La enunciación se compone de nombre y verbo: dos categorías lógicas que se diferencian en que el verbo posee consignificación temporal (en tiempo presente) yen que se predica siempre de otra cosa. Alfarabi y de Averroes necesitan acudir a otros textos aristotélicos (especialmente Ia Física, Categorías y Metafísica) para proponer una explicaci6n coherente del texto aristotélico

In the Perihermeneias, Aristotle deals with the enunciation as a basic unit of signification that ex-presses the logical truth. The enunciation is composed of noun and verb; two logical categories differen-tiated by the fact that the verb possesses a temporal consignification (in the present tense) and also by its use as a predicate of another thing. Alfarabi and de Averroes need to seek other aristotelian texts (espe-cially Physics, Categories and Metaphysics) so as to propound a coherent explanation of the Stagirite's words
