Visual Thinking en una metodología activa de enseñanza-aprendizaje universitaria visual

Abstract

The Knowledge Society is characterised by continuous contact with information of a markedly visual nature. It is not strange, therefore, to implement a methodology based on the image, Visual Thinking, in the university classroom. The methodology used is quantitative in nature. We present the results of the application of this tool to 401 students of three degrees of the University of Cordoba, who express a high level of satisfaction with the experience and improvements in the learning of the subjects. Visual Thinking is considered a tool that favours student involvement through the use of images.

La Sociedad del Conocimiento se caracteriza por un continuo contacto con una información de marcado carácter visual. No resulta extraño, pues, implementar en el aula universitaria una metodología basada en la imagen, el Visual Thinking. La metodología utilizada es de naturaleza cuantitativa. Se presentan los resultados de la aplicación de esta herramienta a 401 estudiantes de tres titulaciones de la Universidad de Córdoba, que manifiestan un alto nivel de satisfacción con la experiencia y mejoras en el aprendizaje de las asignaturas. El Visual Thinking se considera una herramienta que favorece la implicación del estudiantado a partir del uso de imágenes.
