Perspectivas y zarazas: la pintura sobre tela para las fiestas barrocas andaluzas

Abstract

Las perspectivas y las zarazas fueron pinturas sobre tela que solían disponerse durante el Barroco andaluz como adorno al recubrir los edificios próximos a las carreras oficiales en las celebraciones y ceremonias urbanas. Para ahondar en este asunto se reparará en el establecimiento destinado a este fin abierto en Sevilla en 1774 y a los elementos ornamentales de esta misma tipología utilizados con posterioridad en las fiestas napoleónicas que se celebraron en la ciudad del Guadalquivir entre 1810 y 1812. Tanto las zarazas como las perspectivas pictóricas resultaron una solución digna y económica en momentos de escasez. Sustituían otro tipo de adornos de mayor consideración y relieve a base de estructuras engalanadas con elementos alusivos a la fiesta que se celebraba
